We are pleased to announce that the Lloyd’s Register Type approval for our MPT Type 6, platinum resistance thermometer sensors, has been renewed. This approval means our sensors have been tested with satisfactory results in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Lloyd’s Register Type Approval System. The vibration proof sensors can be used in the sterntube bearings of ships.
The MPT-6 sensors consist of a seamless stainless steel sheathed, mineral insulated cable with a single or duplex platinum resistance temperature detector with a nominal resistance of 100 Ohms at 0 °C in 3 or 4 wire construction and potseal with flexible PVC insulated connecting cable at the cold end of the cable.
Tempcontrol manufactures the MPT-6 sensors with Lloyd’s Register Type approval since 1986.
