Calibration baths

Calibration baths are liquid baths with a very stable temperature and a high degree of uniformity and reproducibility. Calibration baths are suitable for calibration of thermocouples, platinum resistance thermometers but also infrared thermometers (calibration baths with black body cavities). The baths are available for a small or large temperature range and we also offer solutions for cryostatic applications.

In our product range we have calibration baths suitable for sensors with a long insertion length, but also small, compact and portable calibration baths. The calibration baths are very stable and have a high accuracy.

Kambic metrology manufactures a serie of top class liquid calibration baths with highly praised metrological performance and inuitive yet flexible operation. Select from 8 models featuring different 3 volumes (7 , 22 and 50 Liters) each with distinctive 2/3 temperature ranges between -90 ... +250 °C.

The exceptional precision is achieved through a sophisticated 2-cylinder system with a uniform vertical flow throughout the utilized portion of the tank, combined with a finely balanced high-performance microprocessor control loop.

Calibration Baths are the ideal units for calibrating temperature sensors, transmitters or even complete temperature systems. Not only do they allow calibration of multiple systems at the same time, but also offer the added advantage of accommodating sensors of all shapes and sizes. Finally, there is an assurance that sensor and reference are always subjected to the same temperature.

Calibration baths employ varying cooling systems, depending on the temperature range. These can range from simple tap water cooling through to integrated compressors or even multi stage cascade-compressors for the models with ultra low temperature ranges.

Kambic Metrology manufactures a serie of small size liquid calibration baths with various black body cavaties. This serie is available in two temperature ranges of +40 ... +130 °C and -20 ... +130 °C and have a stability and uniformity better than ± 0.007 °C. The units are easy to use and have a unique DVFC design.

The exceptional precision is achieved through a sophisticated 2-cylinder system with a uniform vertical flow throughout the utilized portion of the tank, combined with a finely balanced high-performance microprocessor control loop.

Fluid - Giussani

Fluid portable liquid calibration bath - Giussani
 

Giussani Fluid are portable thermostatic liquid calibrators used for checking thermocouples and platinum resistance thermometers in the laboratory as well as in the field. It consists of an aluminium vessel whose capacity is about 400 cc and it is constantly kept homogenous by a magnetic mixer whose speed is adjustable according to the viscosity of the fluid used. The mixing process ensures a proper heat transmission, excellent stability and uniformity values; the large size of the well makes it possible to test sensors of various lengths and diameters.

Fluid models are suitable both for low and high temperature ranges. In addition, they are available with a double built-in temperature indicator in order to compare the reference probe with the external probe. Fluid can be used with different kind of accessories: dry blocks, dry bodies, extension tubes, liquids and so forth. Using Fluid is possible to calibrate temperature sensors with the same accuracy and precision of a thermostatic bath.

Both low and high temperature Fluid are available in two different models. All these models can be accessorized with a double thermocuoples and a RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) reader.

The BK40 M bath is an instrument used to calibrate transducers, RTD and temperature-measuring sensors in the field and in the laboratory. The possibility to generate positive and negative temperature ramps makes it suitable for use in calibrating and testing thermostats.

The BK40 M bath consists of a stainless tank with capacity of 10 litres, useful height 340 mm and diameter 85 mm. The bath is equipped with a stainless steel mixer with electrical motor power, a safety thermostat, drain cock and overflow drain pipe. BK40 M is equipped with a new PID microprocessor controller with a resolution up to 0,01 °C, setting of the standard of measurement in °C, °F e K, programming of ascent/descent ramps and storage of the thermostats’ operative temperature. The instrument is also equipped with an acquisition card having two adjustable inputs (Pt100 3/4 wires; thermocouples: J, K, N, R, S) with bushes fitted with gold-plated contacts and automatic compensation of the cold junction.
